1 bottle dry red or white wine, such as Spanish Rioja or Bordeaux

1/4 cup orange flavored liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier or Cointreau)

1/4 cup cognac or brandy

2 tablespoons superfine sugar

2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice

1 ripe peach, pitted, sliced

1 red apricot, pitted, sliced

5 strawberries, sliced into thirds

1 seedless orange, sliced in rounds

Ice cubes, for serving


  1. In a large pitcher, combine all the ingredients except the ice. Fill glasses with ice, and add sangria. Serve immediately.
