Alton Brown's sugar cookie dough brings this cherry tart together. The dough is simple and versatile, so it can be used for a whole lot more than cookies.
Using a round cookie cutter the same diameter as the top of the muffin tin cups (about 2 inches), cut 36 rounds. Press a dough round into each muffin and press evenly into the side and bottom of the cup.

Once the tart shells have cooled, heat jam and cherries in a saucepan. With a small teaspoon transfer a cherry into each tart shell and drizzle with a little more jam. Allow to cool and set before serving.
