10 pounds Angus ground chuck

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon paprika

Pinch of ground anise

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Pinch of dark chocolate powder

Pinch of ground cumin

Pinch of turmeric

Himalayan or Hawaiian salt, for seasoning

Freshly ground black pepper

20 quality Kaiser rolls, toasted on grill

  1. Preheat a grill to medium heat.
  2. Mix the meat, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, anise, cayenne pepper, chocolate powder, cumin and turmeric in a large bowl. Form the mixture into burgers and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill the burgers to desired doneness and serve on the toasted rolls.

Cook’s Note

Remember that cooking is an adventure, so add your own spices. Use quality cheese and allow it to melt. I like to add grilled onions and a sauce. If you add a sauce, you might want to put pickles on the side as they will add a steely taste. Experiment with sauces made on your own as it will be more gratifying. Remember to have fun.
