Winter Fruit Compote

1/2 cup apple juice

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1 Granny Smith apple, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

1/2 cup seedless red grapes, halved

2 navel oranges, peeled and sectioned, with membranes removed

2 kiwis, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces


  1. Combine orange juice, apple juice and almond extract in a bowl. Stir in gently all the fruit and chill the compote, covered, until ready to serve.;
