Each mentor will assemble a team of two home cooks from the region he or she represents. Tyler Florence leads the West, Cat Cora represents the South, Michael Symon, the North and Alex Guarnaschelli, the East. Only one contestant will walk away with the title of America's Best Cook and the $50,000 prize.
The North
For his team, Michael will chose from among Ramzi Khairallah (Chicago), Lorin Fahrmeier (Lexington, Mo.), Marc Huebner (Waconia, Minn.) and Stephanie Goldfarb (Chicago).
The East
Alex will choose two contestants from Myles Powell (Harrisburg, Pa.), Hannah Gruber (Brooklyn), Christina Verrelli (Devon, Pa.) and Brenda Jackson (Marion Station, Md.).
The West
Tyler must choose from among Jennifer Tzeng (Belmont, Calif.), Phillip Gums (Oakland), Philip Morganelli (Oakland) and Sheri West (Surprise, Ariz.) for his team.
The South
For her team, Cat will have to choose two from Mandy Rivers (Lexington, S.C.), Ben Portman (Atlanta), Ernie Hall (Germantown, Tenn.) and Nikki Bell (Atlanta).
