Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri meet eight rising kid chefs as the Parents Lounge looks on. After Rachael and Guy choose their teams, the kids are immediately given a Pop Quiz -- create a signature dish that best expresses their culinary chops. Guy and Rachael then mentor their teams on culinary secrets and skills before special guest Michelle Obama makes a surprise video announcement explaining the Cook-Off Challenge. Each team is challenged with creating a fresh, delicious lunch to be tasted by teen star Stefanie Scott. Stefanie will give each kid a report card and select an MVP from each team who will win a cool prize, but the kid with the most points overall will be closer to the grand prize, landing their own web series on FoodNetwork.com.
Eight kid chefs are put to the test in a battle of the brunches. Celebrity guest Marion Ross, a.k.a. Mrs. Cunningham from TV's Happy Days, judges the Cook-Off, as the competition heats up.
After a blindfolded taste test, the kid chefs must dream up a feast of food and animal mashups, inspired by the new movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Guest judge Chef Duff Goldman will choose the winner.
In the finale episode, eight kid chefs attempt to trick a room full of culinary superstars including Melissa d'Arabian, Eric Greenspan and Richard Blais as well as celebrity guest Jennie Garth, into thinking their food was made by real adult chefs. Afterward, Rachael and Guy will announce the winner of the competition: Everyone walks away improved as a rising chef, but only one kid will land his or her own show to debut on FoodNetwork.com right after the finale airs.
