Welcome to the Shedquarters

Located in Ocean Springs, Miss., the Shedquarters is the home base for the Orrison family and their barbecue business, The Shed. There, brother and sister Brad and Brooke along with their parents, Daddy-O and Mama Shed, and an entire team of ShedHeds run a string of 'cue hot spots and compete in barbecue competitions.

Bayou Bull Riding

Although he's a dedicated businessman, Brad knows how to let loose and have fun, jumping atop and playfully riding a grill shaped like a bull.

Help Wanted

Notice the sign hanging from the ceiling: "You don't have to be crazy to work here. We'll train you." The cast of characters working at The Shed have proven to their customers that they're a passionate and hardworking — albeit quirky — team.

Swampland

Big Hoss takes a slow wade through the swamps on the bayou near The Shed.

Team High-Five

Sister and brother Brooke and Brad come together for a quick high-five before entering The Shed.

Interior Design

It's the lack of uniformity in decoration that gives The Shed its charm and character. Holiday lights are strewn about, vintage license plates line the walls, and dollar bills and "philosophies" are tacked to the ceiling.

Shed Philosophy

This laminated sign — "Radioactive halibut will make fission chips" — is just one of countless sayings displayed inside the restaurant.

Spotlight On: 'Cue

Brad goes wrist-deep in perhaps the ultimate spread of saucy meat as he prepares for service at The Shed.

Alternative Grills

To cook the award-winning barbecue at The Shed, Hobson doesn’t always rely on traditional smokers, sometimes preparing hearty meats on custom-built grills, like this contraption configured in a vehicle.
