Pronunciation: [lihng-GWEE-suh]

A slim (about 1/2 inch in diameter), garlicky Portuguese sausage that can be found in Latin American markets and many supermarkets. It's used in many Latin dishes such as Brazil's feijoada and Portugal's caldo verde.
