- 1 (1-pound) bag frozen peas, thawed
- 4 ounces (1/8-inch-thick slices) prosciutto, diced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves
Directions
Heat the oil in a heavy large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the shallots, garlic, salt, and pepper, and saute until tender, about 1 minute. Sorry, I was really looking forward to this, and it was a fail. It was rather disappointing and I don't mind peas! Bf and I were NOT a big fan, I told him he didn't have to finish it (even though I only put a bit for him. I'll try to salvage it and do what someone else put which was the alfredo fettucine idea! Thanks for the suggestion, lol. I usually have added peas sauteed in a light butter w/carrots in a traditional rice recipe and I LOVE the flavor there, but this was an epic fail.

I love this dish and make it all the time. It is particularly delicious with fettucini alfredo!
The only changes that I suggest are to leave out the parsley and also not add salt (the prosciutto is salty enough.
