Ingredients

  • 1-ounce olive oil
  • 1/4 red onion, cut into strips
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced jalapeno
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 5 ounces turkey breast, cooked, sliced
  • 1-ounce tequila
  • 4 ounces heavy cream
  • 1/2-ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro leaves
  • 9 ounces fettuccini pasta, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 2 lime wedges, for garnish
  • 2 sprigs cilantro, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons diced Roma tomato, for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

In saute pan with high heat, add olive oil, onions, jalapeno and saute until translucent. Add garlic and continue to saute for 2 minutes. Add turkey, lightly mix ingredients, careful not to break turkey up to much.

Deglaze pan with tequila, pouring around the edge of the saute pan. Add cream, lemon juice and cilantro. Toss together, then add pasta, and toss ingredients while adding Parmesan cheese.

Nest pasta on plate, pour sauce over pasta. Lay sprigs of cilantro over top, sprinkle tomatoes on top, and crack pepper around the rim of the plate.

    W/O Tequila and STILL 5*!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made it exactly how it calls for it but I just didn't use Tequila. The reason for that was I didn't want to spend the... extra money on a great tequila and didn't want to go cheap either so I left it out and this dish still turned out awesome believe it or not. I added some cooked chicken breast that was cut into very small pieces from the night before along with the turkey and gave you 2 different taste that worked very well. I will make this again with some Patron or Don Julio and I'm sure to enjoy it. Thanks Guy!Read more

    Bursting with Flavor!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
To all reviewers claiming this recipe was "bland," "no flavor,"- You NEED to use whole, fresh ingredients to get the taste... Guy is after. That means fesh lemon/lime juice (NOT from the plastic lemon), fresh cilantro (NOT dried herb), freshly sliced onion and jalepeno (not dried herb or canned), freshly minced garlic (NOT dried powder or out of a jar). REAL tequila (for those against alcohol, the alcohol BURNS off, and all you are left with is the tangy taste). Made as written, this is an excellent, flavorful recipe!Read more

Delicious! I added prosciutto to it and chopped up the turkey instead of slicing. Everything mixed together well that way.... Great recipe, easy to prepare and adjust by adding different ingredients.Read more

I thought this was pretty good for leftover turkey. I was hoping the sauce would be a little creamer.
