A Decade of Dish-asters

The new recruits enter boot camp with dreams of becoming great chefs, but their dreams become nightmares when they see photos of their culinary failures mounted on their stations. To start off, mentors Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray have the recruits cook their signature dishes so that they can assess their skills in the kitchen. Then, the recruits dive headfirst into a main dish challenge where they must cook shrimp and live lobster. The recruits with the least successful dishes on each team will be sent home.

Fear the Worst

Chef Tyler Florence returns to the kitchen to challenge reigning champ Chef Anne Burrell to a rematch. An open casting call attracts some of the worst cooks that they've seen yet, but they choose 14 recruits to train back at culinary boot camp. These "home cooks" make their signature dishes, and after an unsavory tasting, Anne and Tyler pick their teams and attempt to teach them how to make a well-balanced dinner.

50 Shades of Flavor

The recruits learn all about flavor combinations by taste-testing some unlikely pairings, then the Skill Drill tests their creativity as they construct unique ice cream sandwiches. The flavor showdown continues when the recruits must create their own unique filling for empanadas, and two recruits fail to deliver.

Celebrity: Celebrity Dish-asters

The new cast of celebrity recruits quickly learn that boot camp is no walk down the red carpet! To assess everyone's skill, Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray have the celebrities cook a dish using some unique ingredients from their swag gift bags. Then, they teach them a simple steak and eggs dish, which proves to be much harder than expected for the clueless cooks. After Anne and Rachael pick teams, one celebrity is sent back to Tinseltown.

Celebrity: Hollywood Goes Bollywood

The tables turn during the skill drill challenge, as the remaining celebrities become the teachers and direct Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray to make a dish. Then, the celebrities are introduced to the often-intimidating world of Indian cooking in their main dish challenge. The two recruits with the worst Indian dishes go head-to-head in a blind elimination challenge.

The last two recruits face their final, ultimate challenge: to cook a restaurant-quality meal for a panel of culinary experts, including TV host Sarah Gore, chef Akhtar Nawab and Cooking Channel's Laura Vitale. Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray coach their recruits, who must put all the skills they have learned over the past eight weeks to the test in order to be named the winner and awarded $50,000 for their charity.

The celebrities with the best dishes head to the finale.

First, the teams get cracking in a game that will get their hands messy and show how much they know about the many different egg dishes. The mentors then bring the day full circle in the main dish challenge by teaching the recruits how to ditch frozen microwave meals and create a home-cooked dinner that will have their friends and family coming back for more.

They must put their culinary knowledge to the test in a game of Family Food, where only one team can be named the winner. For the main dish challenge, the recruits must cook for a crowd and impress their guests with the ultimate game day sandwich and an appetizer.

Sweet Surprise

The final four compete in a "Culinary Decathlon" Skill Drill to test their knowledge thus far. Then, the chefs teach their recruits a complicated dessert technique featuring a flambé© presentation. For the Main Dish Challenge, some special guests arrive for the recruits as their loved ones reveal a favorite dish for them to prepare. The recruits must then make that dish using a recipe written by their chef and serve the flambé© dessert tableside. After the tasting, each chef decides who will advance to the final challenge.
