Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk, heated
  • 1 1/2 cups crumbled Gorgonzola
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 bag potato chips (recommended: Kettle)
  • Chopped fresh chives, for garnish

Directions

Heat a grill to high.

Melt the butter in medium saucepan on the grates of the grill. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Add the hot milk and whisk until smooth and thickened, 5 minutes. Whisk in both cheeses and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Remove from heat.

Put heavy duty aluminum foil on the grill and top it with potato chips. Allow them to heat through, about 2 minutes.

Transfer potato chips to a platter, drizzle with the cheese sauce and sprinkle with chives.

This was awesome! Definitely a once in a while treat as it is quite decadent. But very worth it. Made recipe exactly as written and wouldn't change a thing.

I made a version of this and it was delicious!!! I didn't really measure anything but it turned out great! I poured the sauce on a burger and homemade sweet potato fries...yum! It was super easy and I'll definitely be making it again!

We made this cheese sauce tonight. It was a home run! Very Good! It's very easy to make. I put the cheese sauce on french fries with a few gorgonzola crumbles on top. We will be making this again!
