You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Spanish red wine
  • 1/3 cup super fine sugar
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 red apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 mango, pit removed and sliced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 (12-ounce) can seltzer water
  • Ice cubes

Directions

In a large pitcher combine the wine and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the remaining ingredients, excluding the seltzer, and mix well. Put the pitcher in the refrigerator and let the sangria sit for at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours. Just before serving, stir in the seltzer and ice cubes.

    I served this instead of the traditional punch at a recent bridal shower. Everyone loved it! With the addition of the juice and seltzer it is not very strong, so it was perfect to serve at a daytime event.

    Great flavor. Carbonation is up to you BUT the flavor is great. Agree with another comment re: use Merlot. Really want to try a flavor (let alone impact on your body!...add a shot of gin to your glass, fill with the rest of recipe. With good chips and salsa...your mouth and taste buds will be happy to be with you!
