Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- Small pinch cayenne pepper
- 2 pints strawberries, rinsed
Directions
Using a hand-held electric mixer, whip the cream until frothy. While whipping at low speed, gently sprinkle in the sugar, cocoa powder, and cayenne until well combined.
Transfer to a bowl and serve with strawberries for dipping.

This is a sophisticated dessert to whip up when you don't have lots of time.

This is a great, simple dessert that impresses people IF strawberries are in season and naturally sweet. If the berries are only so-so, it's not such an exciting dessert. I also noticed that the women in the room liked it better than the guys. Not to generalize or anything...... :-

I usually make chocolate dipped strawberries for special events. When refrigerator space wouldn't allow this treat, we made the Spice Cocoa Cream and Strawberries. It was the hit of the party. One guest raved, "she wanted to get married again just so she could have them again" and another said, "I would like to have a bathtub full of this dip"!! Loved the recipe!!Will difinitely make this again.
