Ingredients
- Salt, for glass rims
- 1/3 cup orange-flavored liqueur (recommended: Cointreau)
- 1/4 cup Triple Sec
- 3/4 cup tequila
- 4 ounces seedless watermelon, small diced
- 1 lime
Directions
Pour salt in a shallow dish for dipping the rims of the glasses. Dip 4 martini glasses in water and then dip the rims in salt. Place in the freezer to frost, about 30 minutes. In a martini shaker shake together the orange-liqueur, Triple Sec, and tequila. Remove glasses from the freezer. Fill the bottom of each glass with the diced watermelon and pour alcohol mixture over the top, dividing evenly among the glasses. Slice lime into wedges and squeeze into glasses. Serve immediately.

If there was a rating lower than 1-star that is what I would give this NASTY TASTING RECIPE. Did anyone actually REVIEW the ingredient list before posting it? There seems to be something seriously missing. We followed the recipe EXACTLY (measurements, etc and it had to be the worst drink ever.

Not all margaritas are the watered-down version of an authentic Mexican treat at your local Chili's. These were strong, good, and made the perfect drink for our backyard party. Our tip is to use a very ripe melon and ball it only when ready to use. That preserves the rich flavor of the melon.

Oops.... perhaps I should have read chef's method. My review below was for blended watermelon margartias, in a blender. Actually merely placing the watermelon cubes into the glass is the problem here. Sounds awful without even trying it! LOL
