Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup semisweet mini chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 pounds chocolate bark candy coating, melted

Directions

In a large bowl cream butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. Add vanilla. Gradually beat in flour and add milk. Add chocolate morsels and pecans, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on waxed paper; chill 2 hours.

*Cook's Note: Since the dough is sticky, roll your fingers into flour. This will make it easier to roll.

Melt chocolate bark candy coating in a double boiler. Using 2 forks, dip cookie balls into candy coating to cover. Place on waxed paper and chill to set. Store in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

    Christmas Favorite

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
These are my family's and friend's new favorite holiday treat for the past two years. I am a foody who has lived in some of... the greatest food cities in the US,San Francisco and NYC, so it makes me a difficult person to please. Make sure that you cream the butter to avoid a "flour" or "grainy" taste (Blend room temp butter and the sugar in a kitchen aid mixer or beaters for about 5 mins). I also eliminated the chocolate chips and added more pecans in order to make it a more refined less sweet taste. Read more

Not what I expected at all!

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
These truffles in my opinion tasted awful! I know they are no bake, but i dont believe sweetend condenced milk should ever... have gone into the recipe. It has a flavor that you dont want to eat raw! If you were to make a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe without the leveners and eggs, roll it up and dip into chocolate they would taste 10 times better than these cookie dough truffles. I made them exactly as instructed and threw the whole batch away as soon as I tried the first one. I love Paula Deen but this recipe was a waste of money and my time! Read more

    For cookie dough lovers!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
My husband and I absolutely love these, and fight over the last one! For those who said they taste like flour, did you use... sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated? I do not understand how anyone could think these taste like flour. I omitted the pecans, I just wanted them to taste like regular cookie dough. My only problem is dipping them. I hate dipping cookies, I always mess them up. My friend made them and hers were nice and round and neat. Mine were blobs. As I was doing it I said to myself, never again. But when they were done and refrigerated and I ate one, I may have changed my mind! If you are a cookie dough lover like I am, make these cookies!!Read more

    Everyone else LOVED them...

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
First-these were very easy to make if you follow the recipe (I can't cook, so no improvising for me). I kept them in the... refrigerator overnight and didn't need to use flour (or powdered sugar). I was surprised how quickly they were rolled and dipped. My only complaint was they were too sweet for me. I knew as soon as I poured the whole can of condensed milk that I would not be a fan. However, I have them as gifts and my friends raved. If you have a sweet tooth, these are for you.Read more
