Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed away from skin
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 24 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails in tact, ask for easy peels at your fish counter
  • 2 teaspoons grill or steak seasoning blend (recommended: Montreal Seasoning by McCormick) or coarse salt and pepper
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves, a handful

Directions

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan, garlic, red pepper flakes and shrimp. Season with grill seasoning or salt and pepper and cook shrimp 3 minutes or until just pink. Toss with lemon zest, juice and chopped parsley. Remove shrimp to a serving platter leaving the garlic cloves in the pan.

    Very Bright Flavors

A must to use fresh parsley. Added a couple tablespoons of butter. This created a great sauce to pour over the shrimp. I also... minced the garlic VS just leaving them crushed. This helped to create the sauce.Read more

    Seasoning May be too Salty

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
They were good, but the McCormick seasoning can tend to be a little too salty. I would recommend that you take the tails off... so you don't have to cut them off after they are cooked. Read more

    Nothing Special

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
This was super easy to make but I was a little disappointed after reading all the rave reviews. I like spicy food so I added... extra crushed red pepper, but I found the shrimp a little to lemony tasting, so I added even more red pepper. Also, I put it over pasta as some people suggested but it just didn't seem right to me with the pasta. I have leftovers so I think I'll eat that with a vegetable medley on the side (no pasta). I've tried a number of shrimp recipes and find this to be "okay." Nothing special. Read more

Looking for a quick recipe after accidentally thawing out some shrimp....luckily, I had all the ingredients on hand, and... ALWAYS have Montreal seasoning on hand (love it!!!) quick, easy and very tasty...although a little too salty....will dial back on the seasoning next time. My kids loved it,and even my husband, who dosn't care for shrimp, kept popping them in his mouth, even before I could plate it! Good Job!Read more
