    Easy and tasty

I made this close to the recipe, adjusting ingredients for 1 lb shrimp instead of 2. Used regular tabasco for the pepper... sauce. I tasted the sauce beforehand and thought it was too tart because of the lime juice. I had some chipotles in adobo sauce leftover and just added like 1 tbsp of the sauce to Rachel's sauce mixture. It seemed to go well. After putting on the shrimp and tasting it, it was great -- Not sure if the adobo sauce was necessary. When the sauce was dispersed over all the shrimp, it was surprisingly tasty, surprising because it was so simple. THANKS RACHEL!Read more

Just made this tonight for dinner. Very spicy but very good! Next time I will cut back on the cumin and add more garlic but... for a first time around it was a winner!Read more

    Simple, but nothing special

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
Very easy and quick to make, but a top recipe of the year? Not in my opinion, basically boiled shrimp with hot sauce, boring... texture, shrimp were just wet. I will agree with people on the sauce--very good and same recipe could be used for many other things. Worthwhile if you have people who love spicy and shrimp and not a lot of time, but Iif you want to impress maybe find a recipe that breads the shrimp or grills it for some crunch on the outside. This shrimp rocks!

Loved It! I used Cholula orginal hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning. It's got it kick, but it's easy to tone it down if you... want. I served it with angel hair pasta, but it's very versatile as an app or part of a main meal. Thanks RR for another simple recipe that's yummo!Read more

    GREAT Spicy Shrimp dish !!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I love this recipe. Very very simple - yet very flavorful. The sauce in this recipe is fantastic and I'll use it on many... dishes. Would be great to dip chicken strips in. For the cayenne pepper sauce I used Tapatio hot sauce and used Old Bay for the crab boil seasoning (both in any grocery). It is spicy - which I love, but the flavor is bold and ...well simply great. I made this the day after New Years and we ate it all - at once. The recipe produces more sauce than is pictured, which is great because I was spooining it up with the shrimp. Some Indian Naan would be good for dipping in the sauce - but a spoon works just as well. Thanks Rachel!!!Read more
