Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground turkey breast*
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 4 (1-inch) chunks blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 hamburger rolls (preferably whole-grain)
Directions
*Cook's Note: this will make enough turkey burgers for 3 meals or 12 servings. Use 1 pound meat and 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning if only making this recipe.
In a large bowl, combine turkey and poultry seasoning. Mix well to combine. Shape mixture into 12 patties, each about 1 inch thick. Press blue cheese into the center of 4 of the patties, covering cheese with turkey.
Heat oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add turkey burgers and cook 4 to 6 minutes per side, until cooked through.
Serve the cheese-stuffed burgers with this meal and refrigerate remaining burgers until ready to use. Serve burgers on rolls.

I love stuffed burgers but always hated making them by hand. It?s so messy! I found a stuffed burger maker on line called the burger pocket press. I tried it with this recipe with a few tweaks and the burger was awesome.

I made this tonight but with a few changes that turned out delicious:1grilled the burgers--just gives more flavor 2 used gorgonzola crumbles and i loaded them in 3 double (maybe double plus half the poultry seasoning and salt. Turkey needs more salt 4 used 2 teaspooons dijon mustard, and a good douse of Worchestershire sauces. Came out delicious!
