Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter
  • 1/4 cups honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Hardware:

  • Dough scraper
  • Standing mixer
  • Parchment paper or plastic wrap

Directions

Cut the butter into chunks using the dough scraper.

Place butter into the mixer?s work bowl and beat at low speed, using the whisk attachment to loosen the butter. Increase the speed to medium and add the honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract and beat until well combined, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove butter from bowl and spoon onto parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll into a log and refrigerate for 2 hours.

I agree with Sarah it tastes similar to the honey butter at the restaurant she mentioned. Very tasty Alton. I'd even eat my... shoe if it were coated with this honey butter.Read more

    Absolutely Fantastic!

I discovered that I could make butter in my food processor and went overboard buying cream. I wanted to try something... different and since Alton is my go-to guy for most every recipe, I decided to try this. I made two batches with the original recipe and then I made another batch, doubling the vanilla and adding 1/2 cup toasted chopped almonds. The original recipe was gorgeous but when I made the adjustments, it took it to a whole new level. I'm serving it on Alton's french toast recipe - the best combination ever! I'm going to make enough to give to friends as gifts because this is too good to keep to myself!Read more

As if I needed a reason to eat more bread.

This shouldn't be accesible n one's home! Oh man. I served this with sweet potato buiscuts (Paula Dean) and I'm not afraid... to admit I ate THREE! I used 1 stick of butter, 1 T + 1 t honey, and cinnamon to my liking (quite a bit more than what this recipe calls for) and used a fork to whip it up!Read more

Should anything this delicious be this easy?!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is so tasty, it just might be illegal in some states. It is sweet and creamy without being cloying or greasy tasting. I... love it on home made whole wheat bread, waffles, buscuits, corn bread... heck, I'd probably lick it off of my cat if I had to.Read more

    Excellent

I served this with corn muffins and it worked very well. I cut the recipe down and used only one stick of butter so I was... able to mix it all by hand. Next time I will make the full recipe and freeze some.Read more
