    Simplicity

You have to remember the simplicity of biscuits and gravy, and how it's traditionally made. This has great flavor with the... italian sausage, especially adding the hot along with the mild. I also added some chorizo sausage, about 1/2 lb. would work for one batch of this recipe. It adds some great flavors! Read more

    Simple with a twist.

Great Recipe and very easy to make. I decided to cut the recipe in half using only one packet of hot Italian sausage, and... used 3 Tbls of all purpose flour. After adding milk I also added a dash of Cheyenne pepper and 2 Tbls of Frozen Bacon grease from the night before, stiring it in. I brought the milk to a boil then to a Lo simmer, continuously stirring. The Best Biscuits and Gravy Ever.Read more

Anyone saying this was 'soupy' or had too much milk, obviously did not read the directions where it says 'Add milk and stir... until desired thickness'. That does not mean dump the half gallon in all at once. I had no trouble with this recipe. excellent. *I used spelt flour instead of white flour and I used turkey sausage instead also, and it came out great with the whole wheat biscuits I had made.Read more

This recipe reminds me of my dad's b&g, which is how they should be. The 1 thing I change is the spicy sausage because my 5... yr old likes it without.Read more

Too much milk, I had to let it sit forever to thicken.
