    Amazing Cookies!!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Made a few changes to the recipe: I used 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup Crisco, instead of 1 cup butter. (Crisco will make the... cookies fluff up a bit.) When I added the eggs, I beat the batter for a long time (7 - 10 minutes). Then when it came to the "add ins"...I used only 1 cup of milk chocolate chips and I cup of Cocoa Crispies. (Kids usually dislike nuts, so I added the crispies in place of the nuts. Gives the cookies more texture without the dreaded nuts!) Kids loved them and were eating them as fast as I was scraping them off the cookie sheet. Cookies were chunky, fluffy, and looked awesome! (I can't stand flat looking cookies). Super Recipe!!!!Read more

    Chocolate Overload!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Very delicious! I added just a splash of milk with the eggs, and then another splash with the flour to make them bind a... little more. Seemed a little dry without it. Perfect! The epitome of crunchy/chewy perfection! Also topped with just a few silvered almonds and a pinch of sea salt for a little crunch and bite!Read more

    Good with Splenda

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
These cookies were very good. I made them with Splenda instead of graulated sugar and added 1/2 tsp of baking powder to help... them rise. So easy to make. I may try making them with dark cocoa next time to give the dough a little more chocolate kick! Definately a keeper!!!Read more

    Best. Cookie. Ever.

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
After reviewing the recipe and utilizing some user's suggestions, I just baked the best cookies I have ever eaten. Ever. ... Here are my adjustments: with electric mixer (mine's a Kitchen Aid) cream 3/4 c. granulated sugar + 1/4 c. raw sugar with brown sugar & butter, add beaten eggs and vanilla and 1/4 c. cocoa powder; mix other 1/4 c. cocoa powder in with flour, salt, and baking soda; add flour mixture in three increments, mixing between and adding a splash of milk after each addition; stir in 1 c. semi-sweet mini chocolate chips and 1 c. dark chocolate chips; roll tops of cookies in chopped toasted almonds; bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool for 1-2 minutes on cookie sheet before removing from rack. I made some without almonds, but the cookies with almonds reminded me of Dutch Chocolate Almond ice cream. So tasty!Read more

    delicious and oh so chocolatey!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
yes after reading several of the reviews before attempting this recipe, a lot have commented that the batter turned out dry... before baking. It did separate a little as I was mixing in the flour and I did add a splash of milk to mine to bring it together. Also, I added chopped macadamia nuts that I had in the freezer. And instead of using regular chocolate chips, I used mini chocolate chips because I had a small bag on hand. If you're contemplating making this recipe, you definitely won't be disappointed, they are absolutely delicious and so easy to make!Read more
