Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 (2.25-ounce) package seasoned bread coating mix (recommended: Shake 'N Bake Crispy Version)
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup lowfat ranch or lowfat blue cheese dressing

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Slice the chicken tenders into cubes. Place the coating mix into a large bowl and add cubed chicken. Toss so that all of the chicken is evenly coated. Place the coated chicken onto a sheet pan and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.

Three minutes before the chicken comes out of the oven, combine hot sauce and honey in a large bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.

Add the chicken to the hot sauce and mix to ensure all the chicken is evenly coated with the sauce. Place on a platter with a small bowl of ranch and/or blue cheese dressing.

If you like drinking hot sauce right out of the bottle then this is wonderful... but for the rest of us it's a definite no-go, sorry Sandra

These are great as sliders too. I cut the chicken tenders in half and followed the recipe as written. I used a package of store bought dinners rolls, cut them in half, and put the blue cheese dressing on the bottom half of the roll. Then just make little sliders with blue cheese dressing on side if anyone wants more on their sandwiches. I also used extra wing sauce, minus the honey, and put it on the side too. These went fast during half-time of the football game. Everyone loved them.
