    Too much garlic

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
This is a good basic recipe, but the garlic was way too overpowering. I would suggest one clove of garlic instead of 3... cloves. I also did not add the oil as that is just too weird for salsa.Read more

    Olive oil in salsa fresca??????

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
Oilive oil?? What a disgusting recipe for a supposedly "fresca" salsa This is a great salsa: 8 medium tomatoes 2... medium "sweet" onions. 2 bunches of FRESH cilantro (only leaves - no stems - clean thoroughly) 1/2 clove garlic 1 lime NO SALT (totally unnecessary unless you really want high blood pressure) 1/4 cup quality balsamic vinegar 1-2 Jalapenos (adjust heat for personal taste - I like it hot) Dice tomatoes and onions to 1/8-1/4" pieces. (Choppers work well). Finely chop the cilantro and Jalapeno. I use a garlic press for the garlic, but finely chopped garlic works too. Can cut recipe in half, but you'll be amazed how quickly this salsa disappears. Read more

    Great Salsa Recipe

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I actually came across Tyler Florence's salsa fresca recipe some time ago and fell in love with it and so did my family.... Depending on who I serve it to, I can adjust the cilantro or amount of heat, but all in all, this is the most versitile recipe that I've come across! I use it in black bean soup, as salsa dip, as finishing ingredients in pinto beans, I spoon it over fish, taco salads, you could probably use it as an alternative for a topping when making bruchetta! Try it today and see what you think!Read more

    Perfect

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This recipe is a keeper. I combined the Salsa Fresca & Guacamole from this episode into one bowl. The result of the... combined recipes was impressive. The two adjustments I made were to add red pepper flake & use an entire red onion. My friends were all raving about the results.Read more

    Good but TOO MUCH OIL

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
My husband and I were making this together and he measured out the oil and looked at me dubiously. Even then, we could tell... it was going to be too much. We went with it though, after all, how could Tyler Florence ever be wrong? Well... it was oil soup with a dash of salsa swimming about. The flavor was good but because of all the excess oil, my husband couldn't eat it. Next time, I will only add a DASH of oil and go from there.Read more
