Meet the Competitors of Holiday Baking Championship, Season 10

Season's greetings to a fresh batch of bakers competing for the chance to win $25,000 in this year's Holiday Baking Championship.

Bert is a pastry chef who fell in love with baking after burning his first pancakes at six years old. He loves the holidays and hopes to pass on his favorite traditions to his children. Now that he’s conquered pancakes, he’s ready to take on Holiday Baking Championship.

Greg is a home baker and physical therapist. He’s has never stepped foot in an industrial kitchen, but he’s been baking since the 5th grade. He’s here to make his younger self proud by confidently owning his baking.

Jennifer is a professional pastry chef and bakery owner. She’s a survivor of the Sept. 11 attacks, which she considers a pivotal moment in her life and career. She says, "baking gave me the opportunity to live." She now specializes in cake designs, which she believes to be her true calling in life.

Kevin is a pastry chef instructor and chocolatier in Calgary. He loves hosting with a full house during the holidays, and his two kids adore his baking. His youngest is a talented sous-chef who bakes with him like he used to bake with his mother. His oldest eats more than he makes and the whole family has lots of fun in the kitchen.

Alex is a home baker, single mom and server. She began her baking journey decorating sugar cookies in her home kitchen. She has high hopes for the competition and the grand prize payout.

Josh kicked off his career as a hotel banquet cook, then joined the hotel pastry team. After five years, his partner suggested he combine bakery and grooming skills; He is now the owner of a dog bakery and grooming salon, as well as a home holiday décor business.

Ali has been baking ever since her childhood when she would make cookies for Santa with her mom. She’s baked her own birthday cakes and says her biology degree helps her understand how ingredients interact. She loves baking cinnamon rolls and enjoys regular cinnamon roll bake offs with her husband.

Ashley is a bakery owner and holiday season enthusiast. She got married on Thanksgiving and looks forward to bringing her two kids the holiday magic every year. She hopes to win Holiday Baking Championship and leave with a check to restore her family camper van.

Sharrod is an executive pastry chef in Atlanta who claims he always knows how to get what’s necessary done. He grew up in an army family and served for five years. As the youngest of six children, he appreciates the opportunity for family time that the holiday season brings.

Thoa is the owner of an Asian fusion dessert bakery. She’s been running around her parents’ restaurant ever since she was a baby. Now she cherishes family holidays where everyone cooks potluck style meals together. She’s here to make herself and her family proud.

Justine is from the “home of the chocolate chip cookie,” and she is the proud owner of Sweet Standards, a home-based bakery. Her favorite part of the holidays is baking cookies with her family and then driving around together in search of the best Christmas lights. She’s also a self-proclaimed shopaholic and lover of all that is pink and sparkly.

Javier is a pastry chef who was born and raised in Mexico. Although his grandma owned a bakery there, he never spent a day in the shop. Now, ironically, he says he bakes for a living. He loves the holidays and insists on decorating the Christmas tree on his own every year.
