Ingredients

  • 3 quarts water
  • 3 English cucumbers, peeled and coarsely sliced
  • 7 limes, juiced to yeild 1/2 cup worth
  • 1/4 cup sugar, or more

Directions

Put 1/2 cup of water in a blender container with 1 cup of sliced cucumber. Blend. Add more cucumber and blend. Continue until all the cucumbers are pureed.

Strain the cucumber juice of its seeds into a very large pitcher. Add the remaining water, lime juice, and sugar, to taste. Chill before serving.

    I grew up drinking agua de pepino. The only thing i do different is i use a little less cucumber and add in celery. I love... the fact that you can substitute any fruit or vegetable into this basic recipe. Its always delicous no matter what combination you use.Read more

    Simple to make and so refreshing! Great for Mexican food, of course but wonderful with anything. The cucumber takes some of... the edge off the lime and adds that extra something. Both flavors shine through. My whole family loved this drink, served with chile rellenos. Will definitely make again.Read more
