Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons freshly ground celery seed
- Soda water
Directions
Place the sugar and the water into a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir to combine. Continue to stir frequently until all of the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and add the celery seed, cover and allow to steep for 1 hour. Strain though a fine mesh strainer into a heat-proof container and place in the refrigerator, uncovered until completely cool. Place in an airtight container and store for up to 6 months.
To use, add 2 tablespoons of syrup to 1 cup soda water and stir to combine.

I'm pretty impressed with this recipe. I followed it pretty closely, using a coffee grinder.
Try not to grind it too fine, or your mesh filter will get blocked up.
As for taste, Club soda + syrup + ice = refreshing!
It's sweet celery soda....taste exactly as it sounds.

In our area it's impossible to get Dr. Browns products. Now I have an endless supply of my favorite soft drink.
I had my doubts how this would taste , however this is recipe a pleasant surprise.
Tastes better than the Doctors, and it contains no corn syrup.
Thanks.
