Ingredients

  • 4 ounces granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground children's Vitamin C
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 pound peeled and pitted fresh peaches, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices

Directions

Place the sugar, Vitamin C and paprika into a 1-gallon zip-top bag, seal and shake to combine. Add the peaches and toss to coat well. Lay the bag flat on a counter and using a straw, suck out any remaining air in the bag. Return to the freezer.

    What's up with the psychedelic vitamin C?

    Hey, Alton, I have a quick question about the children's vitamin C tablets, by which I am assuming you mean that I should use... chewables. Any chewable vitamin C prepared for children is going to be flavored, and likely colored, orange as well, if you expect children to willingly chew it. Will this affect the flavor of my finished product? I just made a few freezer bags full of peaches and they are colored in a most vivid orange hue. Read more
