Worse beer cheese dip ever whether heated or cold. Turned out way to salted and could not taste the cheese.

This takes basically no time to make and is pretty tasty. I needed a quick dip to go with soft pretzels that took a while to make. I found I did not need very much beer at all to get the taste and consistency I was looking for. I did heat this up, and saved some shredded cheddar for on top.

this is one of our FAVORITE go-to dips ever. You definitely DO NOT heat it!! Although it might be yummy even if you did : Throw all ingredients into your mixer. I also add about a half cup of mayo. I add the chopped scallions into the dip, not just as a garnish. I also like using Pretzel Chips which are in the deli section of my grocery store. But any pretzels will work (except the little stick kind. Also taste test it to see if you want to add more beer. I think I usually use more beer than is called for here- up to your taste buds.
