Ingredients

  • 2 medium bananas, very ripe
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup superfine sugar
  • Special equipment: 5-ounce paper cups
  • Wooden ice cream sticks

Directions

In a large bowl, mash the bananas very well with a potato masher or a sturdy whisk until almost lump free. You should have about 1 cup mashed. Whisk in remaining ingredients until fully incorporated.

Pour mixture evenly into paper cups, and freeze 1 hour so the pop is firm but not frozen through. Remove from freezer and insert a wooden stick in the center of each pop. Return pops to freezer and freeze until solid, about 2 to 3 hours. To serve, peel paper cups away and eat immediately.

Forget the popsicle sticks and just freeze for about an hour or so and serve slushy with a spoon! Tastes better and less... mess!Read more

    Great summer treat!

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
This treat had almost everything. It was easy to make, creamy, sweet, and frosty. My only problems were that it was a little... hard to eat and that the popsicle sticks were tough to get in straight. I waited the hour like it said, and then another, and then finally, at the third hour, they were frozen enough for me to get the sticks to stand up straight. Overall, though, a very yummy summer treat. Next time, I'm adding strawberries!Read more
