    Delicious!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This glaze is amazing! I agree that you should liberally season the pork chops with garlic salt. I didn't want to spend a... million dollars on maple syrup so I used honey instead and a little more chipotle than the recipe calls for because I love the spice. All the flavors were nicely balanced and I will definitely make this again!Read more

    FOR NANETTE-Adobo clarification

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I have made this and it is yummy! The adobo she is referring to, as I saw the episode, is the sauce that comes in the can of... the chipotles, which are smoked jalepenos in and of themselves. Hope this helps. :)Read more

    Adobo Question

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Could someone clarify for me what the 'adobo' in this recipe is? The recipe calls for "1 tsp chipotle with 1/2 tsp adobo". ... Is the intention of the recipe to use the adobo sauce from a can of 'Embasa Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce' or is it the powdered form of Goya Adobo Seasoning? We made it with the Goya powdered form but should we have tried to use the adobo sauce from the can of chipotle in adobo sauce or is there another option?Read more

add more seasoning for the best flavor

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
When this recipe aired I knew from just watching it that it would not have enough "flavor" just with a little salt and glaze... . Ellie's recipe's tend to be a little bland (sorry Ellie). I seasoned my thin sliced pork chops with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin and smoked paprika (I'm latin so my family and I have to have a lot of flavor). I also doubled the marinade to baste the chops in the grill pan. Oh also added a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the grill pan. It turned out FABULOUS!!! My husband said he really liked the glaze. I really liked it too. I pretty much just "tweeked" the recipe to suit my family and the way I knew they would like it. It didn't take any extra time either. Thank you Ellie for the recipe of the Chipotle Orange Glaze! Read more

    Dry and Bland

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
I love you Ellie; however, this pork chop recipe was a loser with very little flavor. The glaze was thin and did not provide... much flavor. Like some of the other folks, the grill lines burned bec of the sugar in the juice and syrup. Also, the squash was soooooo bland. Very disappointing. These recipes went into the trash. I do not know how some of the readers got the flavor they talked about.Read more

    no taste

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
I was so excited to do this one after seeing the show. I followed the recipe to a T using exact ingredients it called for.... After removing them from the grill pan there was just no flavor at all. I would like to try this again and maybe mariante first and make extra glaze to add during cooking.Read more
