Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped seeded chipotle with 1/2 teaspoon adobo
  • 4 (3/4-inch thick) center cut pork loin chops (about 8 ounces each)
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

Directions

In a small bowl combine the maple syrup, orange juice concentrate and chipotle.

Preheat grill pan. Sprinkle both sides of the chops with salt. Brush 1 side of chops generously with glaze. Place on grill pan glaze side down. Brush other side with glaze. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side over medium-high heat

    Loved it and made a great impression. I agree with the other comments i needed more heat but will fix that next time making two bowls of the marinade (extra peppers and i will heat and use the second one after i pull them off the heat. I do not have a grill so i seared them quickly and finished them by broiling in the oven. I was so impressed with how moist and tender they were. Very impressive dish and i will do it again for more guest.

    note to self: next time grill chops after seasoning--when cooked through, apply glaze and heat glaze through. This glaze has so much sugars (syrup and juice it burned before the meat was cooked through. Also used more adobo and peppers (with seeds to intensify heat level

    Eh, not that spicy, and I used extra chipotle pepper! Hadto use extra glaze as a sauce just to get any flavor, kind of bland.
