Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored powdered gelatin
  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 cups assorted fresh berries

Directions

Place the milk in a small bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin over. Let stand for 3 to 5 minutes to soften the gelatin. Pour milk mixture into a heavy saucepan and stir over medium heat just until the gelatin dissolves but the milk does not boil, about 5 minutes. Add the cream, honey, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat. Pour into 6 wine glasses so that they are 1/2 full. Cool slightly. Refrigerate until set, at least 6 hours.

Spoon the berries atop the panna cotta and serve.

    Too much Honey

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
i think it was a good recipe...really easy dessert, but it had a strong honey flavor for me...i don't know if it was the type... of honey i used. All in all a great recipe next time i'll flavor it with espresso powder instead of honey and just add a bit more sugar!Read more

    Two different layers?

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
Followed directions, looked great, put in champaagne glasses, tasted good. Noticed bottom of glass had a gel- like... substance-Don't know what went wrong. Taste was great, but bottom milky white in color. Will try again.Read more

    A Big Hit!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I have made this dessert several times when we have had company for dinner, and it has always been a hit. The dish is so... quick and easy to put together, and it looks so elegant in my wine glasses. The fresh berries on top are a wonderful bonus. We will definitely continue to make this!Read more

Giada is such an excellent cook. I love her recipes and this one is no different. I didn't even know what panna cotta was... until I saw it on a cooking show. I looked to see if Giada had a recipe and here I am fixing this weekly. The taste is superb. This recipe does not disappoint.Read more

First time I've ever made panna cotta and it will be my go to dessert from now on. Super Easy!! I did add a half a vaniila... bean to the milk when I put it on the stove and then strained the mixture before pouring it into glasses. Perfection!!Read more
