Ingredients

  • 1 pound purchased pizza dough
  • Flour, for surface
  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 3/4 teaspoon good quality coarse salt

Directions

Position the oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface to 1/2-inch thick. Transfer the dough to a heavy large baking sheet. Using a fork, pierce the dough all over. Drizzle the oil over the dough. Sprinkle with the thyme and salt. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.

    Simple but wonderful!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Just came back from a football party. Our team lost but the Pizza Bianca was a hands down winner! Simple to make, even from... dough from the bread machine! Good combination of crunch of crust and tender inside. Sprinkled poppy and sesame seeds in addition to fresh rosemary leaves and sea salt. Wonderful change from just rolls or bread with soup.Read more

    True holiday meal

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I saw this meal on TV and decided to make it for our last year's Christmas dinner. Since we don't like clams/mussels, we... opted for more shrimp & fish and then added some scallops. It was a WONDERFUL dish and plan to make it an every year Christmas meal vs my family's tradition of Lutafisk. :( The only hard part was finding something similar to fish stock - although I could have made my own, I didn't have the time. Cheers!Read more

This was outstanding. To Anonymous User dated 12/3/2005. Are you rating her boobs or the bread, seems to me neither. That... is disgusting to even write a review like that - SHAME ON YOU!!!! Giada is gorgeous and I love her recipes and make them all the time. (If you can't say anything nice don't say it at all - don't ya think?) Janet from Winter Haven, FL.Read more
