Ingredients

For the sugar rim:

  • Apple slice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Grated nutmeg

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shallow dish or saucer.

For the wet rim:

Wet the rim of a martini glass or tumbler with the slice of apple, reserve for garnish. Dip the rim of the glass in the sugar mixture and reserve.

  • 1 ounce cinnamon schnapps
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 4 ounces ginger ale
  • Ice
  • In a cocktail shaker, pour the cinnamon schnapps, vodka, and ginger ale over ice, shake and strain into the glass. Garnish with the apple slice.

    Loved it. Made this last year for Christmas, making it again this year. Fun and festive without being too heavy. I mixed up the vodka and cinnamon schnappes in a batch, poured some into each glass then topped with the ginger ale.

    My husband and I did not care for this. The sugar topping for the glass rim was yummy, but the drink itself wasn't very good. We ended up eating the sliced apples we were going to use for garnish, and dipped them into the sugar mixture for a little treat :
