Ingredients

  • 1 (2-serving) packet sugar-free lemonade powdered drink mix (about 1 teaspoon)
  • 6 ounces diet lemon-lime soda
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • Crushed ice, as needed
  • Lime slice, for serving, optional

Directions

Combine powdered drink mix, soda, tequila, and lime juice in a glass or shaker. Stir to dissolve the drink mix.

Pour into a margarita glass with lots of crushed ice. Finish it off with a slice of lime on the rim of the glass, if using. Time to enjoy!

    I thought this recipe had a great start, but was WAYYY too sweet. However, once I took the original recipe and used club soda instead of diet lemon-lime soda, it was much improved. Definitely not the worst low cal margarita-ish beverage I've ever had. I'll be making mine at home this way from now on. Adding 1/2 oz of triple sec isn't a bad idea, either... just adds a few more calories.

    I love this recipe. I used the lemonade from Trader Jo's that does not use Aspartame! Awsome!

    Fantastic. I quadrupled to make a pitcher and it got rave reviews at a recent party. I agree that you would never know it was low cal!
