You can create up to five timers

Directions

3 lemons, zested and juiced

3 limes, zested and juiced

3 Grapefruits, zested and juiced

3/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch salt

Club soda or seltzer

 

Strain the citrus juices together into a small saucepan.

 

Add the sugar, vanilla and pinch of salt. Heat until a gentle boil is reached. Then add the zest and turn off heat. Allow mixture to cool.

 

Strain off the zest and refrigerate until needed.

 

Mix citrus syrup with club soda or seltzer to desired strength for flavored soft drink.

    i am 11 and turning12 and i am going to have a bunch of 12 year old girls over for a sleepover. would this be good?

    I think this is something fun to make with the kids. I let it cool a little too long before straining out the zest so it got a little bitter, but it isn't bad. I think with a few more tries I can get it just right and will love it!
