Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds bulk hot Italian sausage
- 3 slices (1-inch thick) salami
- 3 slices (1-inch thick) capicolla

- 1 1/2 pounds trio pasta (3 different pastas)
- 3 cups marinara sauce

Saute hot Italian sausage and drain off all of the fat. Cut the salami and capicolla into small cubes and dice the tomatoes. Chop the onion and peppers. Add sausage, salami, capicolla, tomatoes, onion and red peppers to the saute pan and mix well. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook the pasta in boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large oven-safe dish, add all ingredients together including pasta and marinara sauce and cover. Bake for 30 minutes.
Plate and top with fresh Asiago cheese. Serve with garlic bread or Italian butter bread.

I made this last year for our annual Superbowl party and wanted to do something other than chili. This was a HUGE hit, everyone loved it. This was the one recipe I have made from watching DDD and it came out as good as I was hoping it would. I didn't make any variations from the original recipe and it was just awesome. Would make it again anytime!

I used this recipe to spice up our monthly "Pasta and Sinatra" date night. After over 3 decades it gets a little difficult to find great new pasta recipes. This one definitely hit the mark! I read the reviews below and decided to chop the salami and capicolla in the food processor, then blend it with the browned sausage and other sauce ingredients. It gave the sauce a delightfully rich, meaty texture. We loved it! Thanks for a wonderfully exciting new pasta dish!
