Very tasty! My family always enjoys the complex flavors of orange and bourbon. When I don't have bourbon, I use rum and it is a nice substitute. I make it every Thanksgiving and it is a big hit.

I found this recipe to be outstanding. I prepared it according to the recipe. NO need for modifications. Of course, this dish is for the delectable palate. The orange juice along with the bourbon give the right "kick" to it. The pecans just added to the mix of flavors making it a perfect dish. My guests were delighted. I saved it and will prepare it again for Thanksgiving. We highly recommend it.

I thought these were outstanding -- I didn't find the OJ overwhelming at all. I roasted the sweet potato, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. The potatoes do need salt, though, and I found that as I added more salt, the OJ flavor became a lot more subtle. So, I would recommend not shying away from the salt.
