Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 loaf crusty bread, split
  • 3 tablespoons grated cheese, Parmigiano or Romano, optional
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Combine garlic, butter, and oil in a microwave safe dish or in a small saucepan. Heat garlic and butter and oil in microwave for 1 minute or in a small pot over moderate-low heat for 3 minutes.

Toast split bread under broiler. Remove bread when it is toasted golden brown in color. Brush bread liberally with garlic oil. Sprinkle with cheese, if using, and parsley. If you added cheese, return to broiler and brown 30 seconds. Cut into chunks and serve.

    Delicious & Easy Garlic Bread!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I wanted a quick garlic bread to eat alongside some tomato soup. I followed the recipe exactly, but I felt it needed a... little more flavor when it was done. I sprinkled it with a little sea salt and garlic powder and it was delicious! My fiance couldn't stop eating it!Read more

    Ridiculously Good

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Hands down the best garlic bread I've ever had. I also added some chopped oregano and parsley for some more flavor, and very... delicious paired with chicken parmesan or spaghetti. A no-fail recipe that takes no longer than 5 mins and is extremely good! Read more

    Fail safe garlic bread!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I ended up coming across this recipe while heating up leftovers, and must agree with some of my fellow critics here that it... was arguably the best garlic bread i've ever made. I was in a hurry trying to construct the best tasting garlic toast all while my leftovers frantically sizzled to completion when it hit me..."What would Rachael Do?" Flew over to the ol' PC and checked out the usual go to website to find this perfect recipe! How perfect...infusing the butter sauce with fresh garlic and topping it off with a lil' parm and parsley....sooo good! Not gonna lie I like a little kick so I also sprinkled a little crushed red pepper. Turned out perfect....next time I think I'm going to use a combo of spices, ie. italian seasoning. None the less great taste and super easy! Thank you Rachel...we appreciate it!Read more

    Best garlic bread!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I was asked to take garlic bread to a friend's dinner party and didn't want to show up with the usual boring recipe. The day... before the party I did a trial run with this recipe and one by Emeril. I have to say Emeril's was good, but this one was amazing! This is the best garlic bread I've ever tasted, and it's so easy to make.Read more
