Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable, peanut or canola oil
- 1 small head red cabbage, shredded
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Directions
Heat the oil in large skillet over high heat. Stir-fry the cabbage 5 minutes then season with salt and pepper, to taste, and add vinegar and honey, sesame seeds and oil. Serve warm.

I made the recipe with the addition of some fresh grated ginger, garlic and a splash of soy sauce which deepened the flavor. I would also add some caramelized onions next time which I think will round out the flavor. Also, slice the cabbage as fine as possible as red cabbage is firmer than green and seems to take much longer to cook.

As mentioned by others it lacked something but as it is was easy to fix but we found it to be NASTY! If there was a rating choice below one star I would give it. Will not fix again.

The recipe needs a little something else....it was good, but, not amazing the way it is. We couldn't pin down what would help it be more flavorful. We will keep experimenting with it. It was a pretty dish. We served it w/ Ribs. Thanks. Denise Nichols, Florida
