Boozy Blended Root Beer Float

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
One 12-ounce alcoholic root beer
Toppings:
Canned whipped cream
Malted milk balls
Caramel Sauce, recipe follows, to drizzle
Caramel Sauce:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) salted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions
Special equipment:
two 16-ounce glasses- Chill two 16-ounce glasses in the freezer for 30 minutes or so.
- To a blender, add the ice cream and alcoholic root beer. Blend until thoroughly incorporated, 15 to 30 seconds.
- Pour into chilled glasses and top with whipped cream, malted milk balls and caramel sauce.
Caramel Sauce:
- Add the sugar, butter, heavy cream, vanilla and salt to a saucepan over medium heat. Cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until it thickens and turns into a delicious sauce, 5 minutes.
