great idea for a christmas brunch. used donut holes and added some clean magnolia leaves, fresh winter fruit (lemons, oranges, cranberries and limes, unpeeled/wholearound the bottom of the tree on a glass cake stand. there were a few holes left by the donut holes so i added cranberries (squeezed them in in the holes was a huge hit! people thought it was the neatest thing, and the kids (and a few adults! stole a few near the end. one tip; add the cranberries to the tree dead last. sometimes the cranberries leak a bit of juice.

Thanks npinnella for the great tips to go with this tree. I love Sandra's stuff and the wholepoint is not so much work to achieve something great. It's too bad others come to complain. If they don't like something, go watch something else. This is a great place to learn and share.

Was a huge hit..made it really big and added candy canes, garland and presents at the bottom of the tree. There were also six presents at the bottom of the tree and after you ate a donut hole you then pulled out the toothpick and if there was a ribbon attached to the end of the toothpick then you got one of the presents under the tree. It was great for adults and children...would love to send a picture if possible.
