  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Using a whisk or large fork, mix in the buttermilk and egg until well combined and smooth. Stir in the melted butter.

    Nice n fluffy

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Nice texture, moist and fluffy as pancakes should be. I had to add extra milk, as i thought batter was too thick at first. ... And i took some advice and added a little vanilla too. Mine were with blueberrys, so any sweetness was missing the berries made up for it. Read more

Taste better if you do not let them brown completely...

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I followed one of the other rater's instructions and added the vanilla. I also added 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter instead of 3... tablespoons of butter. The recipe tasted great. I would like to add one additional recommendation. Usually when I make pancakes I do not flip them until the top of the batter begins to bubble. With these pancakes, I wouldn't let them bubble before I flip them. Instead, allow them to slightly/lightly brown on each side, this will cause them to be extremely light and fluffy. (vs. hard/brown and crispy.) A few of my pancakes tasted very light and cake like and those were the best in the batch. Over all, great recipe that my husband also enjoyed. Read more

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
These pancakes are light, delicious and simple to make in the morning. Why use the boxed stuff when these are so easy?
