Ingredients
- 4 very ripe plantains, peeled and sliced on the bias 1/2-inch thick
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped cilantro
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Directions
Preheat grill. Brush the plantains with the oil and grill until caramelized, about 2 minutes on each side. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, orange juice, honey and cilantro and brush on plantains. Season to taste with salt and pepper

This was a good recipe. We grilled them on a gas grill with great results. The cooking time was more like five minutes per side rather than two, but the results were definitely tasty. The glaze was a hit.
