You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • Water to cover
  • 3 1/2 cups crispy rice
  • Grated orange rind from 1 orange

Directions

Place sugar in a saucepan and add enough water to cover. Cook until golden amber in color. Stir in the crispy rice and grated orange rind. Pour into greased 8 by 8-inch pan and press lightly to pack down. Cool and cut into bars and serve.

    I loved the idea and the orange smells terrific!!, but when I made it there was no where near enough caramelized sugar to get the crispies to stick together. I'm going to try the old-fashioned kind (with marshmallows and add the orange :

    IT's yor basic recipe for rice crispy treats only with a flavor twist I also tried it with lemon and lots of other flavors afterwards.
