Ingredients
- 1 pint chocolate ice cream, softened (recommended: Haagen Dazs Dark Chocolate)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup smooth, unsalted almond or peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 (2-ounce) semi-sweet chocolate bar
Directions
In a blender, combine the ice cream, milk, yogurt, almond butter, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Pour into 4 glasses. Using a vegetable peeler, shave the chocolate and place on top of each milkshake. Place a straw in each glass and serve.
Cook's Note: The chocolate can also be grated or finely chopped.

I didn't follow the recipe exactly because I didn't have any vanilla yogurt so I used vanilla ice cream instead, but everything else I kept as written. This was a great new twist on the classic chocolate milkshake. Very tasty and I'm sure my kids will love it as well.

Delicious! I used vanilla ice cream instead of yougurt cause I don't like yougurt and chocolate ice cream cause I don't like chocolate ice cream. I've seen almond butter in the stores but have been wary about trying it. It's really good!!!
