Ingredients

  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup Campari
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups sparkling water (recommended: San Pelligrino)
  • Orange slice, halved

Directions

Place the ice cubes in a highball glass. Add the Campari, orange juice, and sparkling water. Add a slice of fresh orange and serve ice cold.

    This drink tastes like quinine water/grapefruit juice. If you enjoy that taste, than you will like this beverage. Otherwise, don't bother with the expense of the Campari. I wish I had read the reviews before I made it.

    I haven't tried Ina's recipe yet...but there's always tonight. I make my campari spritzer with equal amounts of campari and sweet vermouth. Tastier for those who like it sweeter AND it stretches the more expensive campari.

    I thought this was refreshing, a nice summer drink. I used store bought OJ and a little less San Pelligrino and it was pretty good. The Campari was rather expensive so I hope I can find some more uses for it.
