This is the best tzatziki I've tasted, even when I was in Europe! I backed off the salt to 1-1/2 tsp. and it was just right. Delicious and fresh tasting!

Is a good Tzatziki sauce but WAAY to much salt. I was skeptical when it said 2 tsp which is a lot of salt for the 14oz of yoghurt so at first I put in 1 tsp. When I was done it tasted a little bland though, so I added the other 1 tsp of salt. OOOPS, now its way to salty! I am an idiot and should have put in that last tsp bit by bit but I am surprised that the recipe is like that beacuse its so salty it's almost inedible to me. I will say that I am not a salt-heavy person as my mom has to restrict salt and I've gotten kind of used to that but I was surprised that it was that salty. Otherwise good though, I think I'm going to re-make it with less salt.

OMG! This is the real deal - very authentic (so say my Greek neighbors. I made the recipe exactly as written except for the salt. I only used 1 teasp. After I shredded the cucumber, I put it in a strainer and pressed out the water. I also let the mix sit, covered, overnight in the refrigerator. I liked it a lot more after it had a chance to meld the flavors. OUTSTANDING! Thank you, Ina!
