Ingredients
- 3 cups plain nonfat yogurt, drained well with cheesecloth or a strainer
- 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and grated
- 1/2 cup minced fresh mint leaves
- 1 hot green chili, seeded and minced, if desired
- Salt, to taste
Directions
In a bowl combine all the ingredients.

Just made this dish, quite yummy, could use a bit more cucumber but overall this is an outstanding traditional Raita. Tastes much like my favorite Indian Cafe makes it.

ive been making this for years, just something my mom always made and i just picked up--its delicious and refreshing. BUT i would try it without the chili pepper. it would appeal to more palates.
