Made this for my father who is a purest. His favorite ice cream is plain old chocolate and he eats popcorn almost nightly. Adding anything to his popcorn was a little risky. HE LOVED IT! Called me for the recipe! Big success and so easy to add this special touch!

This is hands down the best popcorn Ive ever had. I make this 2-3 times a week when I dont feel like a full dinner, and just want something light to eat before bed (yes i said, 2-3 times a week! Im addicted!!! A couple of things I want to point out.. I originally got my recipe from the show that she made it on... this recipe is NOT how she makes it. Instead of making the butter spice mixture in the microwave, throw the butter in a small saute pan over medium heat, then add the spices (and I use 1/2 tsp instead of 1 tsp for all ingredients. Heat butter and spices just until butter starts to simmer a little, stirring as it heats. This way, the spices can heat up and their flavor increases. TRUST ME, this makes a huge difference!! And, after pouring the butter mixture over popcorn, you have to mix it all together with a spoon or your hands so it's evenly distributed. If you freshly grate your cheese over the top while the popcorn is still hot... it'll stick ;

Love this! It's one of my favorite go to snacks. I also enjoy eating it as a side dish when I have a smaller main course.
